Elephant Safari - Explore Corbett

Elephant, also know as 'bull dozers of forests' have been useful for humans in patrolling / exploring forests since centuries. Elephant safari is one of the best means to explore the jungles as it does not need to follow any specific route and provides an excellent chance to observe wildlife closely.

Also elephant safari is the most natural and silent way of exploring the forests in Corbett as wild elephants also roam these forests and animals are pretty used to these animals in the wild. Sitting on the back of largest land animal is in itself an experience and when it is added with beautiful natural landscape and rough terrain, it adds on to the adventure and thrill. It is perfect ride for those who like to explore forests in different ways.  

Location -  Dhikuli village, Different elephants have different mounting point but broadly speaking all are in Dhikuli village area of Corbett, exact GPS coordinates for your particular elephant will be provided in the voucher.

Terms & Conditions 

1. Maximum 4 adults can sit on 1 elephant. In case there are children along with adults the maximum load and balance will be at the discretion of Mahaout (Pilot of elephant)
2. Elephant safari operates at specific timings. In case the guest arrives late, the time for elephant ride would be reduced accordingly to ensure punctuality of our service for next slot. In such cases no refund should be claimed by the guests. 
3. The elephant safari can be cancelled from our end, even at last moment due to bad weather, forest permissions concern or any other unavoidable circumstances. In such cases full refund (minus online convenience fees) would be refunded to guests account within 4 working days. Kindly rest assured that we understand your concerns and we will only be engaged in such steps in unavoidable circumstances only. 
4. There are fixed mount points for elephants and guests have to reach the mount point of elephant on their own. Your voucher will assist you with google coordinates of elephant safari mounting point. 
5. Safety of our guests is our prime concern. In case we find any irregularity in behaviour of particular elephant, we shall cancel the safari with full refund as mentioned in point number 3 with same terms and conditions.
6. Cancellation policy
   In case the guest changes its plan and needs to cancel the elephant safari, Below mentioned is the cancellation policy
   • 15 days prior of more - Full refund (Minus convenience fees)
   • 3 days prior to the safari: 25% cancellation charge
   • Between 48 hours to 24 hours prior to the safari: 50% cancellation charge
   • Less than 24 hours to the safari: No refund
7. Elephant safari is just a means to explore the forest. Explorecorbett.com does not guarantee sightings of any particular animal. We promote minimum / No disturbance to wildlife concept and expect our guests to understand and respect the same. 
8. No eatables, fire arms and ammunitions are allowed inside forest. Smoking and drinking are strictly not allowed during safari. Any such incident / action will attract appropriate reaction.
9. Riding an elephant may have its won risks attached to it. We expect the guests riding the elephant do understand the same. Explorecorbett.com will not be responsible for any sort of damage / loss to any person / article.
